DeAnn Martin
DeAnn Martin has been Specialist on Deafness/Deaf Educator at Moore Norman Technology Center for 10 years. She holds a Master of Education degree in Counseling with emphasis in deafness from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from East Central University. She is a nationally certified interpreter, CICT, and Oklahoma State QAST Certified Interpreter V/V with 28 years - interpreting experience (Educational, community, and video relay). She is also an adjunct instructor for the Interpreter Training Program.
Suzanne Graham
Suzanne Graham has been an Educational Interpreter at Moore Norman Technology Center for 13 years. She holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Interpreter Training from Oklahoma State University - OKC and is a nationally certified interpreter, CI/CT and Oklahoma State QAST Certified Interpreter IV. She has 13 years interpreting experience in the fields of educational, religious and medical communities and 3 years experience in video relay interpreting. She is also a Sensitivity/Awareness Trainer on Deafness.
Elizabeth Bangs
Professor Bangs graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the Harvard Women's Law Journal (now the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender). She began her legal career as a judicial clerk, first to the Honorable Richard A. Paez on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and then to the Honorable Audrey B. Collins in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Professor Bangs was also a trial attorney in the Disability Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
Mike Shuttic
Mike has worked in the field of disabilities for over 19 years. With a B.A. in Psychology from Kent State University and a graduate of Michigan State University’s Rehab Counseling Master's program, early professional focus and experiences were in Work Adjustment Training, Supported Employment, and Independent Living. While at KU as Associate Director in DSS, other professional involvement included chair of campus Architectural Barriers Committee, chair of NASPA National and IV-W regional disAbility Concerns, member/past president of local Kansas Transition Council, Kansas/Missouri regional AHEAD member and Treasurer, and member of Assistive Tech for Kansans Project. Currently, as Coordinator of Student Disability Services/ADA Compliance at Oklahoma State University, professional interests and roles include Committee on Campus Access chair, OK State Transition Council postsecondary rep., OK-AHEAD Board 2000-2007 (twice president). Professional association with AHEAD began in 1990 as a member and has evolved to being a Board member since 2003 and current President.
John Foubert, Ph.D.
John D. Foubert, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor, Anderson, Farris, and Halligan Professor and Program Coordinator of the College Student Development Master’s Program at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Foubert teaches courses in college student development theory, student affairs administration, group and cultural interventions. Dr. Foubert is the author of two books: The Men’s Program: A Peer Education Guide to Rape Prevention (3rd Edition, 2005) and Lessons Learned: How to avoid the biggest mistakes made by college resident assistants (2007). He is also widely published in scholarly journals such as the Journal of American College Health, the Journal of College Student Development, the NASPA Journal, Sex Roles, and Violence Against Women.
